Dr. Amy Tuteur is an obstetrician gynecologist. She received her undergraduate degree from Harvard College in 1979 and her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in 1984. Dr. Tuteur is a former clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School. She left the practice of medicine to raise her four children. Responding to the story of a baby who died from a tight nuchal cord, The Feminist Breeder offers this bit of inanity:
"It sounds like what happened with your friend was a terribly tragic and freak occurrence. The risks of a potentially unnecessary cesarean are greater."
Of course most women would prefer an unnecessary C-section to a dead baby, but perhaps TFB is one of the minority who wouldn't.
