There's not a week that goes by without evidence of the overwhelming ignorance and stupidity of homebirth advocates.

This week (5/16):

Responding to the story of a baby who died from a tight nuchal cord, The Feminist Breeder offers this bit of inanity:

"It sounds like what happened with your friend was a terribly tragic and freak occurrence. The risks of a potentially unnecessary cesarean are greater."

Of course most women would prefer an unnecessary C-section to a dead baby, but perhaps TFB is one of the minority who wouldn't.
